Risk Factors for Breast Cancer
  • Current age 65 years or older
  • Menarche before age 12
  • Menopause after age 55
  • No pregnancies or first pregnancy after age
    30
  • Alcohol consumption greater than two
    drinks per day
  • Body mass index in the 80th percentile or
    55 years or older
  • Exposure to high dose ionizing radiation
  • Family history of first or second degree
    relatives with breast cancer
  • BRCA1 or 2 genetic mutation
  • Hormone replacement greater than 5 years
    with combined estrogen and progesterone
